his parents gave him the name baris,the turkish word for peace. at his time, baris manco, was the most popular singer in turkey and still everybody will know him from antalya up to istanbul.
he was one of the most important musicians for the famous period of turkish psychedelic music back in the 70`.
baris had one older brother. his name was savas,the turkish word for war.
